Author: Dr Bennett October 5, 2017 Personal Development & Growth

Over the past few months, many of you have met our newest team member, Rebecca. She has been
working toward some big goals and we are so pleased to announce that she recently received her ACE Personal Trainer and RRCA Running Coach certifications!

When she’s not in the office serving clients at Body Workz Wellness, you will see her out and about on the run!  Rebecca has actively engaged with the Morgantown Running races throughout the year and is excited for the upcoming Halloween Half and Turkey Trot. She is a proud supporter and former coach for NCWV Girls On The Run.

Because of her passions for helping others feel and operate at their best, she’s made a commitment to share her tips on running that can help others! We asked Rebecca to share a few training tips for new and novice runners and we thought we’d share it here with you too!

7 Signs You’re Ready to Train for Your First 5k

1. You run 0-15 miles a week
2. You are interested in learning how to run
3. You don’t have any current injuries
4. Your goals may include competing in a local charity event, keeping up with your spouse or simply to finish a 5k
5. Hard work doesn’t scare you
6. Running brings you joy
7. Earning a medal excites you

If any of these things apply to you maybe it’s time to click “register,” on your first 5k!”

If you are interested in learning more about how you can get involved in group runs Rebecca recommends checking out the crowd with We Run! Morgantown or simply reaching out to her here! She’s excited and ready to connect with you!
