Did you know that our bodies are made up of nearly 60% water? Water is essential to life. Drinking water is like putting gas in your car. We have to drink it, and we have to drink enough of it. A 2015 study showed Americans only averaged 4 cups of plain water daily — a mere 32 ounces.

So how do our bodies react to being properly hydrated?

Your Skin:
Drinking more water can lead to a dramatic difference. The dark spots under your eyes can also diminish.

Food:
Drinking more water will help you eat less as the increased water intake makes you feel more full. This allows your body to function efficiently by eliminating toxins!

Energy Levels:
Have you ever yawned at work and realized it was only 3:00pm? When you increase your water intake to 100 ounces, you will often see a corresponding increase in energy.  Remember as I said earlier, water is to your body what gasoline to a car.

Your Brain:
Water is one of key factors to a healthy brain. Drinking more water is going to help take away those “brain fog” days. Your thinking will be more clear and overall you will just feel more alert and ready to tackle the day.

Your Health:
The bottom line is drinking more water simply makes you healthier. If you are eating healthy, exercising, & staying hydrated your body will be able to fend off sickness and be more injury resistant. You will spend more time doing the things you love and living a high quality life —  not spending your time with the doctor.

Make a challenge to drink more water. Start the day with a full jug of water, and see much you drink over the course of one day.
